Our bank opened for business in 1914 as the Peoples Bank of St. Thomas.  In 1951, they relocated to Meta and became Meta State Bank. The bank remained in Meta until 1978, when the bank created its first branch office in Linn and subsequently changed its name to Mid America Bank. In 1992, the bank created its second branch office in Wardsville.

Since that time, as the needs of our customers have grown and changed, we’ve grown too. However, the way we treat our customers has stayed the same.
